The Mighty Crusaders #3
Issue three of this six-part DC miniseries drops a masked, black-and-gold armored hero into a tense bamboo forest standoff, sword in hand and surrounded by a ring of shadowy ninja-like figures closing in from every direction. The cover by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau is striking in its atmosphere — cool greens and deep shadows creating a sense of genuine danger for the outnumbered fighter at the center. With the story titled "Infiltration," writers Trautmann and Jerwa are clearly putting their hero through the wringer, and this cover makes a strong case for reading every page.
