This third volume of The Middleman collects issues #9–12 of the 2007 series, continuing the adventures of Wendy Watson and her mentor, the Middleman, as they face bizarre threats. The story arc 'Inescapability' pits the duo against a seemingly inescapable trap set by a new villain, testing their resourcefulness and partnership. Written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach with art by Les McClaine, this trade paperback delivers more of the series' signature blend of sci-fi, humor, and indie sensibility.
