The Metal Men put on a show for children, but Tina stops for one lonely boy who refuses to come. She discovers that Timmy is blind. His mother hopes that in the future chemical compounds will provide a cure. Timmy gets to spend the day with the Metal Men and Tina blurts out that Doc can probably cure his blindness. Timmy visits a rocket ready to launch and Tina insists on a short flight, but a cosmic turbulence hurls them through space. The Metal Men land on an eerie planet with a deserted amusement park where the "rides" are evil robots who killed their masters.
