From the boundary-pushing minds of Sam Kieth and Bill Messner-Loebs, this October 1993 issue of The Maxx presents a cover — penciled and inked by Kieth himself — that plunges viewers into a visceral close-up of a massive, snarling creature, its jagged teeth and mottled green hide filling the frame amid a swirl of luminous droplets and frenzied linework.
