The cover of this December 2002 issue says it all — a green-skinned Legionnaire dangles helplessly in the grip of massive golden mechanical tentacles, the tagline "Computo Programming!" hinting at a very bad day courtesy of one of the Legion's most formidable technological threats. Olivier Coipel's pencils, inked by Andy Lanning, give the image a striking sense of scale and vulnerability, with the warm gold of the machine contrasting sharply against the dark void below. Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning with art by Kev Walker, this is the kind of issue that reminds you why the 30th century's greatest heroes always have their work cut out for them.
