The Last Phantom #3

This unsettling third chapter of "Ghostwalk" arrives wrapped in a cover by Alex Ross that pulls viewers uncomfortably close — a pale, masked face fills the frame entirely, one wide blue eye staring outward with an intensity that refuses to let go. At the center of the composition, a blood-red skull mark is pressed into the flesh, dripping and raw, unmistakably the Phantom's legendary brand rendered here in a far more visceral register than usual. Dynamite's 2010 reimagining of the Ghost Who Walks is clearly not pulling its punches, and "The Warmakers" promises to keep that tension wound tight.
