Chapter Two of The Last God: Book I of the Fellspyre Chronicles arrives with a cover that crackles with the heat of battle — a pointed-eared warrior on horseback charges forward, bow in hand, her expression fierce as flames and crumbling architecture erupt behind her, while a massive, arrow-pierced creature looms in the foreground, its grotesque tentacled limb curling ominously overhead. Kai Carpenter's painted cover work gives the whole scene a richly atmospheric, almost oil-on-canvas quality that feels right at home in DC Black Label's mature fantasy line. Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Riccardo Federici, and Sunny Gho continue building the world of the Fellspyre Chronicles, and if this cover is any indication, the series isn't letting up on the epic scope one bit.
