“A Puzzlebox Chapter 5: The More Things Come Together...”

A figure seen from behind — dressed in a purple suit jacket covered head-to-toe in question marks against a vivid green background — dominates Chip Zdarsky's striking cover for this fifth chapter of Matthew Rosenberg's puzzle-laden saga. The silhouette's posture and styling leave little doubt that the Riddler is very much at the center of whatever intrigue is unfolding. With a creative team that includes artists Jesús Merino, Chris Mooneyham, and Freddie E. Williams II alongside colorists Ulises Arreola and Roman Stevens, this 2022 series continues to deliver bold visuals wrapped around its deepening mystery.

As Gordon and Bullock continue their interrogation, The Joker tells them how three teams of villains converged on a deserted warehouse to battle each other for possession of the Master Engine. According to the Joker, it was the Riddler who was behind everything, but as Gotham's finest interrogate the other villains they hear differing accounts of the battle, and the other villains are all consistent in denying that the Riddler was present.
