This June 1990 issue puts Helena Wayne front and center — crouching low in her purple-and-blue costume, pistol in hand, her cape sweeping behind her as a menacing masked figure and a mob of weapon-wielding thugs bearing baseball bats and clubs loom in red-drenched chaos above her. The contrast between her cool, focused defiance and the overwhelming threat closing in makes for a genuinely gripping cover composition from penciller Joseph Staton and inker Robert Smith. With Joey Cavalieri scripting and Joe Staton on interior art, The Huntress #15 — "Out There in TV Land!" — is a strong entry in this mature-readers DC series.
