The Hunger and the Dusk #6

A young orc woman crouches at a small, still pool of water in a sun-drenched landscape, her reflection gazing back at her while crumbling, vine-draped stone figures loom in the amber distance — it's a quietly arresting image that captures the series' blend of fantasy epic and intimate human (and not-so-human) emotion. Chris Wildgoose's cover work here is beautifully composed, balancing the vastness of a world in twilight against a single, contemplative moment. G. Willow Wilson's IDW original series continues to feel like something special, and issue #6 looks like it's delivering on that promise in full.
