In the distant future on the planet Rynn, two Rynnians use their Futurevision Screen to examine the consequences of apes evolving beyond humanity—only to discover that intelligence doesn't guarantee wisdom, as monkeys, like humans, can still be blinded by ego and short-sightedness.

In "The Challenge of the Masked Avenger," the Manhunter finds his routine patrols disrupted by a new figure in the city—someone with no real power or reputation, yet bold enough to take on crime in a flamboyant mask. His motives are far from heroic: he’s just a young man trying to impress the woman he loves, and his reckless stunts threaten to undo the careful work the Manhunter has done.

In "Three Dooms for Sheriff Trigger!", the man known as Walt Trigger—wearing the sheriff's badge and suit once more—finds himself caught in a deadly game of survival as Doc Doom sets three escalating traps. Two are ambushes laid by Doom’s men, each more cunning than the last, while the final test comes face-to-face with Doom himself, gun aimed squarely at Wayne Trigger’s head.

In "The Men Who Lost Their Memories!", the Challengers find themselves stripped of their pasts when the villain Dekkar deploys a memory-stealing machine. With their minds wiped, it’s up to June Robbins to guide them back—using their forgotten skills in climbing, diving, and combat—to infiltrate Dekkar’s castle and reclaim what was taken.
