“The Wireless Ones”

In "The Wireless Ones," Hal Jordan’s family reunion takes a bizarre turn when a radio-frequency alien crash-lands at the party, leaving all the adults unconscious. With young Hal (Air Wave) and the other kids the only ones able to act, the group must defend the alien from hostile pursuers—until a desperate attempt to stop it backfires, and the alien hijacks Air Wave’s radio powers to broadcast itself across wireless networks. Written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli with inks by Trevor Scott, this 2019 Annual features a striking cover by Guillem March.

The Jordan family reunion is interrupted when a radio frequency alien crashes the party. With all of the other adults unconscious, Hal teams with young Hal (Air Wave) and the younger kids to protect the alien from other aliens that are pursuing it. When Hal is disabled by the alien, Air Wave uses his radio powers to try to stop the alien, but instead the alien is able to take over Air Wave's body and use his radio powers to control people by broadcasting himself across wireless networks.
