The Goon #7

Two heavyweights of Dark Horse Comics collide in this 2004 issue, with Eric Powell and Mike Mignola joining forces on a cover that speaks for itself: the Goon — cap pulled low, massive wrench slung over his shoulder — strides forward against a blazing orange moon, surrounded by a shambling horde of zombies and accompanied by the unmistakable red-skinned, trench-coated figure of Hellboy. Mignola's cover art captures a decayed, fog-draped cityscape in ruins behind them, lending the whole scene that moody, pulp-horror atmosphere both creators do so well.
