“G-Man vs. the Red X”

In "G-Man vs. the Red X," a 1938 Dell gem, Roscoe stumbles upon a mysterious briefcase and tries to pawn it—only to find the shop owner uninterested. When he brings it to his boss, Mr. Barlowe, the man’s reaction hints at something far bigger than a lost paycheck, setting off a chain of events that could change everything. Written and drawn by Sheldon Mayer, this early adventure blends suspense and moral intrigue with a crisp, expressive style, all wrapped in a cover by Mayer that captures the story’s sharp tension.
