The Friendly Ghost, Casper #100

Reaching issue #100 is a genuine milestone, and Harvey Comics marked the occasion with a cover that captures Casper at his most gleefully carefree — the friendly ghost is shown riding atop a swirling, wide-eyed water creature, arms outstretched and grinning as the two spiral upward together in a froth of waves and clouds. It's a wonderfully playful image that perfectly suits the lighthearted spirit of the series, and with "The Mysterious Zooky" promised inside, there's clearly more whimsical fun to be found. A fine December 1966 celebration of a hundred issues of everyone's favorite friendly ghost.
