Sad Sack Comics #32
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHarvey's lovable hard-luck G.I. is "Back in the Army Again!" in this 1954 issue, and the cover by George Baker sets the comedic tone perfectly — Sad Sack himself, clad in a grass skirt, fumbles with some kind of stick or prop while food splatters everywhere around him, a parrot flutters nearby, and a "G.I. Follies" sign looms in the background. The whole scene practically drips with the cheerful, slapstick misfortune that made this series such a treat, and Baker's loose, expressive linework gives every "CLOOP" and splat its own personality. Thirty-two fun-packed issues in, this is Harvey humor at its most delightfully chaotic.
