The Flash #22

The cover of this 2013 New 52 issue is a striking study in red and gold — Flash bursts outward from a blinding explosion of light, rendered as a near-silhouette with his lightning bolt emblem glowing at the center, while below him looms the shadowy, caped figure of what appears to be Batman, crouched and watching from the bottom of the frame. Francis Manapul's cover art uses bold, painterly strokes to create a real sense of velocity and tension between the two figures. "Reverse, Part 3" promises that whatever collision is building between these characters, it's reaching a vivid peak.
