The Flash #2
From the New 52 era of DC Comics, this December 2011 issue of The Flash makes an immediate visual statement with Francis Manapul's striking close-up cover — the Scarlet Speedster's masked face fills the frame, his single visible blue eye gazing outward while crackling yellow lightning traces the contours of his glowing, neural-pattern-textured cowl. It's a bold, almost cerebral image that perfectly complements the story title "Think Fast," hinting at a tale where Barry Allen's mind is just as much in play as his legs. With Francis Manapul handling both writing and art alongside colorist Brian Buccellato, this New 52 series was already showing a distinctive creative vision right out of the gate.
