The Flash #162
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSet against a carnival midway in 1966, this issue's cover finds the Scarlet Speedster being literally shoved toward the entrance of a "Tunnel of Terrors" by two nervous police officers, while a massive, glowering green monster looms in the shadows of the attraction's facade — and Flash himself looks like he'd rather be anywhere else. The cover by Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella perfectly captures that Silver Age blend of superhero bravado and playful unease, teasing the story "Who Haunts the Corridor of Chills?" with a wonderfully dramatic flair. Writer Gardner Fox and the Infantino/Giella art team were firing on all cylinders during this era, making this a thoroughly enjoyable snapshot of DC's Flash at his most entertaining.
