The Fix #3

Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber's crime comedy series rolls into its third issue with a cover that captures the series' cheerfully unhinged energy perfectly. A young woman leans out of a moving car's sunroof, arms raised and clothes whipping in the wind against a vivid pink-and-purple Los Angeles sky, while a deadpan older man grips the steering wheel below — the contrast between their reactions says everything about the tone of this book. Lieber's linework, colored beautifully by Ryan Hill, gives the whole scene a warmly lit, sun-soaked seediness that makes The Fix one of 2016's most entertaining reads.
