The Fix #2
Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber's crime series continues with a cover that lets the atmosphere do the talking — two small figures stand at the base of a towering, angular modernist structure, dwarfed by its sheer concrete walls stretching up against a hazy pink sky, with a small yellow shape visible between them hinting at something just out of reach. Steve Lieber's linework, colored beautifully by Ryan Hill, gives the scene a sun-baked L.A. unease, the kind of place where a quiet conversation outside an imposing building is rarely as innocent as it looks. If issue one pulled you in, this second chapter promises the same sharp blend of tension and dark humor that makes The Fix such a rewarding read.
