The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom #4
In "Shock and Awe," Nathaniel Adam—now living under the alias Cameron Scott—grapples with his identity as the "new" Captain Atom, a man shaped by the legacy of the original. While hunting for the son he never knew, Jo, with the help of a private investigator, he's drawn into a case involving a death row inmate who survived the original Captain Atom's explosion and has been in suspended animation for years. When Nate attempts to free him, the man awakens with his own quantum abilities—and vanishes. Written by Cary Bates and Greg Weisman, with bold art by Will Conrad and vivid colors by Ivan Nunes, this issue blends personal reckoning with the lingering echoes of a past that refuses to stay buried. The cover by Carlos D'Anda captures the tension of a man caught between two identities.
