The Dreaming #2

Part of DC's 2018 Sandman Universe relaunch, this second chapter of "The Foundation" plunges readers deeper into a Dreaming that feels dangerously off-kilter. Jae Lee's cover says it all: a towering, grotesque scarecrow-like figure with a glowing jack-o'-lantern head looms over a small, wide-eyed figure in a waistcoat who recoils in obvious alarm, the whole scene bathed in an eerie purple-pink sky that feels both beautiful and deeply unsettling. With Simon Spurrier writing and Bilquis Evely's artwork inside, this series is shaping up to be a genuinely compelling addition to the Sandman mythos.
