Crossfire (Jeff Baker) is murdered trying to retrieve a file on the project that created the DNAgents. Because he was out on bail at the time, the bailbondsman assigned to him, Jay Endicott, searches for him when he fails to show up in court. Finding Baker's spare costume and equipment, Endicott becomes the new Crossfire.
