When the project that created the DNAgents becomes public knowledge, the Matrix board of directors fires Krell. Crossfire is captured by The Commander's troops while investigating Jeff Baker's murder. The DNAgents find similar troops attacking Matrix and trail them to Glendon Island, where Crossfire is held and The Commander intends to launch a nuclear missile towards Matrix HQ. After it launches, Rainbow reroutes the missile to return to the island. Crossfire and the DNAgents escape in one direction, The Commander in another.
