The unsettling contrast of holiday lights and a crime scene sets the tone perfectly for this third issue of James Tynion IV and Joshua Hixson's psychological thriller from Image Comics. The cover depicts a crouching figure surrounded by colorful Christmas lights and festive decorations while FBI investigators — one photographing the scene, another on a phone — work the perimeter, a number marker visible on the floor. Hixson's moody, desaturated artwork wrings something genuinely eerie out of the seasonal imagery, making this one of the more atmospheric covers of 2024.
