Part five of "Beyond Virtue" arrives with a cover that promises nothing less than cosmic-scale chaos — a blazing, armored figure erupts in a burst of blinding light, sword raised, while a red-suited combatant squares off against a grotesque, glowing-eyed entity amid a landscape strewn with skulls. Val Semeiks and Bob Smith deliver a wonderfully unhinged visual that earns the cover's own boast: "Beyond the Battle-Cosmic!" Alan Grant's 1992 run on The Demon was never shy about swinging for the surreal, and this installment looks like a vivid example of exactly that energy.
