The Darkness looms large on this striking 1998 Top Cow/Image cover, as Jackie Estacado stands armored in the living Darkness — its grotesque organic exoskeleton of golden-eyed tendrils and bio-mechanical plating fully engulfing his torso and clawed hands. Joe Benitez's pencils (inked by Joe Weems) render the supernatural armor with extraordinary detail, from the glowing yellow eyes embedded in the creature-suit to the eerie green orb lurking in the mechanical framework behind him.
