“Chaos Rules”

"Chaos Rules" kicks off The Chaos Effect #Alpha with a cosmic bang: a rift tears open above a Tibetan monastery, hurling a mysterious stranger to Earth. As global disturbances ripple outward—heroes altered in unpredictable ways—monks at the monastery turn to the enigmatic Visitor, who confirms the newcomer’s time-travel origins and warns that the rift signals the end of all things. Written by Bob Layton and illustrated by Bernard Chang, with inks by Jerry Ordway and colors by Mike Cavallaro and Stu Suchit, the issue’s cover by Dan Jurgens and Jerry Ordway captures the scale of the impending storm.

A giant rift appears in the sky above a Tibetan monastery and a mysterious stranger is thrown to Earth. Various disturbances begin to happen around the globe, and heroes begin to suffer strange effects, some for the better and some for the worse. Back at the monastery, the monks consult an earlier guest, known only as the Visitor, who examines the unconscious new arrival as well as the rift in the sky. He tells them that the stranger has travelled through time, and the rift heralds the end of everything.
