“How to Take Out a Room Full of Goons”

Tied to the hit The Batman animated series, issue #32 of The Batman Strikes! promises a chaotic, all-hands brawl with its cover tagline blaring "Batman's Going Down!" The cover by Sanford Greene and Nathan Massengill hurls Batman and what appears to be Batgirl into a tumbling melee against a colorful mob of villains — red-jacketed thugs and a purple-trousered foe among them — all crashing through debris in the series' sharp, animated style. Scott Beatty's script and Christopher Jones's interior art tackle the wonderfully titled "How to Take Out a Room Full of Goons," making this 2007 issue sound like exactly as much fun as its cover promises.
