Poor Jerry Lewis can't catch a break — on Bob Oksner's cover for this April 1971 DC issue, he's getting a big, sloppy kiss from an amorous female gorilla while a very jealous male ape rattles his cage nearby, the "SNAP!" and "SMACK!" sound effects saying everything you need to know. Self-billed as "America's Funniest Comic Mag," issue #123 promises two stories inside, including "My Lady!" and the aviation-flavored "The Kook in the Cockpit!" A great slice of early-'70s DC humor comics, rendered with Oksner's loose, expressive charm.
