The Adventures of Jerry Lewis #89
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA delightfully zany 1965 DC romp, this issue sends Jerry Lewis tumbling headlong into the "Land of Ooze" — a candy-coated fantasy world complete with Sugar Plum Lane, Candy Blvd., and a purple castle looming in the background. The cover by Bob Oksner captures Jerry mid-pratfall, wide-eyed with alarm, while a cackling witch swoops overhead promising that "all is fun and there is no pain" — a claim Jerry's expression thoroughly disputes. Writer Arnold Drake and artist Oksner were clearly having a blast spoofing The Wizard of Oz, and that infectious energy leaps right off the cover.
