The Adventures of Bob Hope #94
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's long-running humor series delivers pure mid-1960s absurdity with this September 1965 issue, as a very determined purple octopus wraps itself around Bob Hope while he surfs a crashing wave — demanding a kiss and apparently quite pleased with the arrangement. Surfers and beachgoers look on in wide-eyed horror in the background, making the scene as visually chaotic and funny as the cover teaser promises: "Blast Off for Belly-Laughs as Bob the Boob Becomes Hope the Astro-Nut on a Missile Beach Party!" Writer Arnold Drake and artist/inker Bob Oksner clearly had a terrific time blending the era's surf-craze and space-age humor into one gloriously silly package.
