DC's long-running humor series takes a delightfully spooky turn in this 1965 issue, as the cover — drawn and inked by Bob Oksner — splits the action between a gleefully unsuspecting Bob Hope drinking a bubbling secret formula in a laboratory, and the wild-eyed monster he promptly becomes, clutching a beaker with clawed hands while a little devil-faced onlooker cheerfully declares him "kinda cute." Writer Arnold Drake's story, "Dr. Jerk-ll and Mr. Hyde, Part 1," promises a comic riff on the classic transformation tale that plays perfectly to the series' lighthearted sensibility.
