The Adventures of Bob Hope #62
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's long-running comedy series delivers another dose of cheerful chaos in this 1960 issue, with Owen Fitzgerald's cover art capturing Bob — resplendent in a bold yellow plaid suit and boater hat — puffing away blissfully despite a very insistent "No Smoking!" sign and an equally insistent finger-wagging bystander. A line of showgirls in feathered costumes adds to the backstage atmosphere, making the whole scene feel like a perfectly timed vaudeville punchline. Cal Howard and Owen Fitzgerald were clearly having a great time crafting this era's most reliably funny ten-cent comic.
