This February 1960 Charlton gem packs three stories into one dime-priced package — "The Big Squeeze!," "The Apache Brand!," and "Ranger Hunt!" — promising a full afternoon of frontier justice. The cover by Rocco "Rocke" Mastroserio delivers the goods across three vivid vignettes: a Texas Ranger trading punches with a villain against a blazing yellow sky, a masked figure confronting a shadowy horseman on the open range, and a green-scarved Ranger in pink blazing away with his pistol as "BAM" and "BLAM" punctuate the action. With writing by Joe Gill and interior art by Charles Nicholas and Sal Trapani, this issue is a lively snapshot of classic western comics storytelling at its most energetic.
