A charming slice of 1946 humor, this issue puts Tessie front and center in a wonderfully awkward moment — dressed sharply in red, she's at a theater ticket booth cheerfully requesting "four sailors, please," much to the wide-eyed alarm of the flustered clerk behind the glass. The "Service Men 25¢" sign on the booth makes her innocent request all the more delightful, and the gag lands with the breezy wit that made Tessie such a fun fixture of mid-40s comics.
