Terror Titans #6
The six-issue miniseries concludes with "The Last Stand" — and the cover by Joe Bennett and Jack Jadson makes the stakes unmistakably clear. A dual-masked, sword-wielding figure lunges forward across a rooftop, dual blades drawn, while a city burns orange behind her, shadowy grasping hands reach from below, a serpentine form coils to one side, and a glowing energy hand crackles at her feet. It's a charged, kinetic finale image that captures the desperate, all-or-nothing energy you'd expect from writer Sean McKeever wrapping up this dark corner of the DC Universe in 2009.
