The penultimate chapter of Sean McKeever's six-issue miniseries arrives with a cover by Joe Bennett and Jack Jadson that crackles with menace — a wild-eyed, long-coated villain perches triumphantly atop a massive clockface, lightning tearing through a blood-red sky behind him, while a star-spangled hero and a glowing-eyed young woman flank him below. That looming clockwork setting gives the whole image a sense of time running out, which feels just right heading into the finale.
