Teräsmiehen Poika #10/1962
In "Teräspojan isoveli (osa 1/2)", Superboy’s quest to uncover the truth about Mon-El takes a shocking turn when an accidental exposure to lead triggers a long-buried memory—Mon-El is not Kryptonian, but a Daxamite explorer who once met Jor-El and Lara on Krypton before coming to Earth. Written by Robert Bernstein and illustrated by George Papp, this pivotal chapter reveals a secret origin tied to a lost world, forcing Superboy to make a desperate choice: send Mon-El into the Phantom Zone to survive. The cover by Curt Swan and Stan Kaye captures the moment’s tension, a 60,00 FIM comic from 1962 that marks a defining shift in one of DC’s most enduring friendships.
