This issue contains two stories about teenage romance. The first story follows a young man named Frank who finds himself torn between two girls—May, Tommy's girlfriend, and Mauri—during a chance encounter after a storm. Frank and Mauri discover they share a deep connection, leading Frank to confess his feelings and break things off with May for Mauri's sake. The second story features a teenage narrator who confesses that she had refused to go out with Howard because she was attracted to his handsome appearance, but later realizes she actually wants to date him after seeing his kindness and learning he works as a workman. The narrator accepts Howard's invitation to a date, recognizing that true worth comes from character rather than superficial appeal.
