"Kiss Me, Beloved" follows Carol, a girl uncertain about her feelings for a boy named Eddie who seems to be her opposite, as she struggles with whether to commit to him. After Eddie leaves for several weeks without explanation, Carol moves on and eventually marries another man, finding happiness; years later she reunites with Eddie and discovers he had left to make something of himself, and they both find contentment in their separate lives. A second story depicts a young woman named Mari who falls for a cowboy named Roy during a ranch vacation, but their romance is complicated by her doubts and ultimately ends when Roy and Mari part ways.
