Tarzan stöter på Arthur, en flygare som kraschlandat och de är på väg till bebodda trakter när de kommer till en okänd stad där Tarzan räddar en kvinna som jagas av mördare. Kvinnan är drottning Elna, som blivit avsatt av Nyra. Arthur ger sig i slag med Nyra och de skickar en krigsflotta till grannstaden Kah för att stjäla en lysande juvel som i själva verket är radioaktiv. Tarzan, Elna och kahianerna fångas och ska just till att avrättas när Tarzan lyckas spräcka skyddshöljet till juvelen och döda motståndarna med dödlig strålning. Elna återinsätts som drottning.
