Tarzan & Co #2/1972
In "Kampen mot barbarerna," Tarzan finds himself captured by the fierce Amazon queen Tibeela, who sees him as a potential mate—though he refuses and escapes into the wild. Soon after, a band of pirates lands near the Amazon territory, overpowering the warriors and enslaving both them and Tarzan, who is forced into the arena as a gladiator. Facing deadly trials against a gorilla, a lion, and his old friend Groot Carlus, Tarzan must fight not just for survival, but to reclaim his freedom. Written by Don Garden and illustrated with powerful, dynamic art by Burne Hogarth—both inks and pencils—this 1972 adventure from Williams Förlags AB delivers raw jungle action with a striking cover by Hogarth.
