Tarzan #208
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's second issue of Tarzan of the Apes arrives in 1972 with a raw, jungle-charged cover by Joe Kubert — Tarzan locked in fierce combat atop a large bear, an arrow piercing his side, while a shadowy archer looms in the dense foliage behind him. Titled "A Son's Vengeance," this 52-page issue draws on Edgar Rice Burroughs' original source material, and Kubert's gritty linework brings every sinew and shadow to life with remarkable conviction. A generous read at 25 cents, it's a fine showcase of early-'70s adventure comics at their most viscerally compelling.
