“Den odödlige centurionen”

In "Den odödlige centurionen," Tarzan is summoned to the hidden ruins of Castra Sanguinarius, a forgotten Roman outpost, where he must defend the city from the relentless barbarian warlord T'Ang Khan. When Tarzan is overpowered and left unconscious, the priest Andronicus performs a ritual that awakens the spirit of the long-dead Roman centurion Cassius Valentinian—now possessing Tarzan’s body. With the centurion’s strength and will, Tarzan faces T'Ang Khan in a final, decisive duel. Written by Russ Manning and William Rotsler, with art by Manning, Stevens, and Bulanadi, and a cover by Manning, Stevens, and Bulanadi, this 1987 issue blends myth, ancient warfare, and the enduring legend of the man-apes.
