Talon #5 brings the New 52 series to a fever pitch as the cover — rendered by Guillem March — plunges us into the depths of Gotham with two armored, blade-wielding figures locked in fierce, close-quarters combat against a claustrophobic tunnel backdrop, while a third masked figure lurks in the shadows behind them. The tagline "Trapped in the Depths of Gotham!" sets a tense, underground tone that writers Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV clearly relish exploring. If you've been following Calvin Rose's dangerous run from the Court of Owls, this April 2013 issue looks like exactly the kind of breathless confrontation the series has been building toward.
