Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes #317

Two Legionnaires — one in an orange costume, one in yellow-and-blue — sprint in obvious alarm as a massive, spectral green entity with glowing eyes looms behind them, its tendrils filling the sky in a genuinely unsettling display. The bold "Death Trip!" tagline makes clear that whatever danger these heroes are fleeing, it's nothing routine for the 30th century's finest. Terry Shoemaker and Karl Kesel deliver a cover with real urgency, and inside, Paul Levitz, Keith Giffen, and Mindy Newell are on writing duties — a strong creative lineup for this November 1984 chapter of the Legion's ongoing saga.
