“The Ugliest Man in the World!”

In "The Ugliest Man in the World!", a chilling tale from Tales of Horror #1 (1952), a scientist and his mate are exiled into the future for warning a perfectly ordered society that unchecked reliance on machines leaves them vulnerable. Bill Molno’s striking artwork brings to life a world where humanity’s downfall is written in a dying sun and empty ruins, as the couple returns to plead with their past to change course. Myron Fass’s haunting cover captures the story’s eerie tone, making this a standout early entry in the horror anthology series.
