"Long Distance Wife" tells the story of a woman separated from her husband by miles and circumstance, who struggles with the demands of being a long-distance wife until her husband finds employment, allowing them to reunite and marry. The second story features a woman named Frank who, after an argument with her lover, leaves town on a bus in the snow, only to realize her mistake as she watches his car pass by on the road ahead, leaving her to contemplate a life without him.
